My experience runs the gamut of podcast production. I've:

πŸ“ secured high-profile guests for established podcasts

πŸ“ edited audio and mixed music

πŸ“ cut audio and video trailers

πŸ“ developed marketing strategies

πŸ“ managed social media accounts

I have my own equipment (see details below) and am available for freelance commissions, including tape syncs.

πŸ’ Final Cut Pro

Earlier this year, I produced the second season of UnHerd'sΒ flagship podcast Confessions with Giles Fraser, in which the eponymous priest and polemicist asks well-known people what makes them tick.

My role included everything from securing guests to briefing the host, editing audio to marketing the podcast.

I also produced their regular podcast Shorts,Β which would bring a number ofΒ UnHerd writers round a table to talk about their recent pieces with editor Charlotte Pickles. Unlike Confessions, which was recorded in a studio, I recorded these myself in our office.

The Inkling

While I was editor ofΒ The Inkling Magazine, I devised, produced and launched a three-part podcast miniseries,Β The Inkling Podcast. In the process, I taught myself end-to-end podcast production, from episode planning to sound recording to mixing music in Audacity.

The podcast channelled the spirit of the magazine into audio, with an Editorial (intro), Feature (discussion) and Pull-Quote (performance). The Feature brought together Inkling writers to talk about essays from our archive under three themes:
